Acceptable Use Policy

1. General Principle

You may use MassTorts247 only for legitimate professional purposes consistent with our Terms of Service and applicable law. Use the Platform respectfully, lawfully, and in good faith. Do not abuse the Platform, other users, or the public data sources we aggregate.

2. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

2.1 Misuse Data

• Scrape, crawl, mass-download, or extract Platform data using automated tools (other than the official API as provided in your subscription tier)
• Resell, sublicense, redistribute, republish, or create derivative products from Platform data, AI output, scoring algorithms, or analyses
• Train competing artificial intelligence or machine learning models on Platform data, content, or output
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or proprietary algorithms behind Platform features
• Cache or store Platform data beyond the limits required for ordinary use
• Use Platform data to compile, sell, or market lists of attorneys, law firms, plaintiffs, or other identifiable parties

2.2 Abuse the Platform

• Use bots, scripts, or automated processes to interact with the Platform beyond official API limits
• Generate excessive requests, queries, or load that degrades performance for other users
• Circumvent rate limits, usage caps, or feature restrictions tied to your subscription tier
• Use the Platform in any manner that could overload, disable, damage, or impair its operation
• Submit malformed, malicious, or oversized inputs designed to exploit the Platform

2.3 Account Abuse

• Share your account credentials with anyone
• Allow more than one person to use a single account
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits, bans, or fee tiers
• Misrepresent your identity, employer, professional status, or authority to use the Platform
• Sign up using consumer email addresses or anonymous email addresses (corporate or professional addresses only)

2.4 Security Violations

• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform without our prior written authorization
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, network, or data
• Introduce viruses, worms, malware, or any malicious code
• Bypass, disable, or interfere with security or authentication features
• Intercept, monitor, or attempt to intercept Platform traffic

2.5 Unauthorized Practice of Law

• Use the Platform to provide legal advice if you are not a licensed attorney in the relevant jurisdiction
• Hold the Platform out as a substitute for licensed legal counsel
• Use the Platform in any way that violates the rules of professional conduct in your jurisdiction
• Use Platform data or AI output as the sole basis for legal advice to any client without independent professional review

2.6 Fraudulent or Deceptive Use

• Use the Platform to mislead, defraud, or deceive any person, including potential mass tort claimants
• Misrepresent the nature, source, accuracy, or currency of Platform data when sharing with clients, prospects, or third parties
• Use the Platform for client solicitation in any manner that violates ABA Model Rule 7.3 or analogous state rules
• Use the Platform to facilitate barratry, runner schemes, or improper case-running operations

2.7 Illegal or Harmful Conduct

• Use the Platform in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or court order
• Use the Platform to harass, threaten, defame, or harm any person
• Use the Platform in connection with money laundering, terrorism financing, or other criminal activity
• Use the Platform in violation of US export control or sanctions law
• Use the Platform to discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or other protected characteristic

2.8 Intellectual Property Violations

• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notice on the Platform
• Use MassTorts247 trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written permission
• Pass off Platform output as your own original work product without attribution where attribution is reasonably expected

3. AI-Specific Restrictions

When using AI-powered features (Ask MT247, Case Value Estimator, AI briefs, Tort Opportunity Score):

• Do not submit confidential client information, privileged communications, or personally identifying information about non-public individuals
• Do not attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or bypass safety features built into AI components
• Do not use AI output as the sole basis for any legal action, filing, or representation to a court
• Verify all AI output independently before relying on it

3.1 No Submission of Confidential Information

The Platform is not designed for storing or processing confidential client information. Do not paste client names, case numbers from sealed proceedings, or other privileged or confidential material into any Platform interface, including the Ask MT247 chat. Submissions may be processed by third-party AI providers and logged for product improvement.

4. Reporting Abuse

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@masstorts247.com. We investigate all credible reports.

5. Enforcement

We reserve the right, in our reasonable discretion, to:

• Investigate suspected violations
• Suspend or terminate offending accounts, with or without notice
• Remove or restrict offending content
• Refuse refunds for accounts terminated for AUP violations
• Cooperate with law enforcement and report suspected illegal conduct
• Pursue legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages

For minor first-time violations, we will typically warn before suspending. For severe or repeated violations, we may suspend immediately.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. The "Last updated" date indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
